What is Bringing up Bilinguals?

Bringing up Bilinguals is a resource and support hub for parents, families, and organizations raising or supporting bilingual and multilingual children. I provide evidence-based strategies, workshops, courses, and consultations that make bilingual parenting less overwhelming and more effective.

Do you only work with certain languages?
Nope! While the majority of my resources and content are in English, my strategies apply to any language and any language combination. Families I’ve worked with or who have taken my courses and workshops speak over 150 languages, representing over 70 countries and 90 language combinations!

Who do you work with?
I work with bilingual and multilingual families around the world from Spanish-English parents in the USA to Maori-English parents in New Zealand and everyone in between! BUB is an inclusive and welcoming space that works with ALL parents regardless of background. I believe bilingualism should be for every family including LGBTQIA+, adoptive parents, blended families, single parents, intergenerational families

What ages of children do you support?
In 1:1 consultations, I support parents with children of all ages, from babies in the womb to teenagers. Our courses and workshops are mainly aimed at parents of children aged 0-10 (roughly birth through elementary school).

Do I have to be bilingual myself to benefit?

Not at all! Many parents I work with are learning alongside their children or are supporting their bilingual parent. I provide tools, strategies, and starting points that work whether you’re fluent, semi-fluent, or just starting.
What is your refund policy?
For 1:1 consultations and other services, refunds are not offered.
Due to the digital nature of our resources, workshops, and courses, refunds are not guaranteed.
For special circumstances or if your purchase didn't live up to expectations, please contact katrina@bringingupbilinguals.com within 7 days of purchase.

Do you offer on-going support?
Yes! The comprehensive planning package offers 6-months of email support and two check-in calls. The three consultation package offers you the ability to book three 1-hour consultations over a year period, perfect for check-ins when you need them.
